What components should heat up and defrost when icy?

So we had -5 this morning, very icy, started her up and switched on heated screen (rear and front).

Took a while (3-4 minutes) and the front screen started to clear but was a little slow. The rear screen cleared faster but I noted the side windows in the boot area did not. Are these supposed to be heated also?

The driver side wing mirror took a while but did eventually start to clear but the passenger side one did not, it remained icy. Both mirrors fold in ok and adjust etc so I am wondering what other people see when it's icy on their vehicle?

Are there any fuses that could have blown that prevent these from working?

One morning I though the front screen wasn't working as it took a long time to defrost but on a light frost it worked fairly quick, door mirrors work fine and clear very quick to clear as does rear screen.

As for the rear side windows the wire you see is the stereo aerial yea? If it dont work.......burn it!

If the IId tool cant fix it.......burn the FF.

If the FF cant be fixed......buy a Land Cruiser!

If the LC cant be fixed..............................................BUY a horse !!

oh ok that explains the side rear windows then, I saw what I thought was a heater element but as you say, it's actually an antenna, good to know.

I'll have to take a look at the passenger mirror then. Are the mirrors auto heating or only come on when the screen(s) are heating? I wonder if there is a separate fuse for the heater element of the mirrors then, as I say, all electric adjustments work on it,

If the IId tool cant fix it.......burn the FF.
