third brake light flasher

saw this on ebay from various sellers and various types .... priced from £1.60 [china] to £16'ish [uk] and thought it might be a good addition to the FF, any thoughts on this?

Scotland 2014 Range Rover Vogue SDV6 Santorini Black

Had to watch the BMW clip for the penny to drop that it makes the central of your 3 brake lights flash instead of emitting a solid red LED light.

Can imagine some people pressing the brake pedal in a sad and vein effort to look like some form of emergency services vehicle.

However, some of the flashing white pedal cycle lights are very effective at making them more visible and I suppose if it works (the BMW clip wouldn't make me want to swap the solid red for a pulsating red); if it is is legal and if it does actually maximise your visibility so as to lessen the chance of someone ploughing into the back of you then the concept cannot be a bad thing.

Thumbs Up

What would be a LOT more useful (and is fitted to some French cars I recall), is the hazard warning lights to trigger on hard braking - instead of looking for the button yourself to warn the person behind it's not just slowed - it's stopping rapidly!!! I guess it took a feed from the braking ECU.... Land Rover Addict

Curse you Stan, I appear to have just bought the bumper lights for my birthday Smile

The laser one ... I really am not sure about unless it's to evaporate the rain on the road behind you Wink Have you seen the power and the fact it really MUST NOT EVER shine into another drivers eyes..... Land Rover Addict

if the following driver sees the red line on the road behind your car then he might hold back further, if it works in real life that is.. ... - .- -.

Well for £6 I ordered one for a laugh - I might just wire it into the reverse lamp so I can have a visual through the camera! Land Rover Addict
