Because they are used as core units! Simple... The plastic panel is still underneath the piano black covering obviously! They are sent of to a factory and refinished And NO... you simply cannot replicate a Piano black finish with paint... So, if you want the real macoy! You need to pay for it! But... Painting car look very good if done VERY WELL... |

I agree that you can't replicate a piano black finish with just paint, traditional piano black is not paint but black lacquer, built up to a thick layer and then sanded with various grades of sand paper ending up with 3000 grit before it is polished.
