IIDTool unless you plan on keeping a laptop in the car as you can guarantee you'll need a fault clearing while you are miles away from home.

+1 for the IIDtool. For a few reasons: it is small, really small. No cables, no additional plugs. Fantastic feature set. If you don't get stuck then you are not trying hard enough.

I would say the IID as well and I had the RAC. Nice and cheap but needing a laptop and te restrictions it has would send me down the IID route even with crap pixels. Spend an extra £100 and get your pixels fixed and jobs a gooden. [img]http://www.fuelly.com/driver/rob2529/range-rover[img/]

By the way, most of the menus scroll when using the IIDTool so you'll be able to work out what it says unless the display is badly knackered. |

The BBS MSV2 is a great tool and while for the nano version you need to have a laptop, the extreme edition for a few more quid has a dedicated built in UI for checking and clearing faults on the road.

Using both versions (the older classic and the Bluetooth one), I can highly recommend the BT version, bearing in mind the Classic is already excellent to start with.
