Nice one Geoff. I am having the same issue with a 32gb SanDisk mini USB all loaded via iTunes on a mac. Will try what you suggested on Windows.

Many thanks 405 AB exec seats Baltic and Cirrus

Hi Geoff - thanks but the windows solution didn't work. still about 15 secs between music if I sleet a new album. Individual tracks on a single album skip fine.

Paralells on my mac did take over 1 min to delete all the crap off the USB which shows just how much junk there was on there.

Thanks anyway. Thumbs Up 405 AB exec seats Baltic and Cirrus

Just a suggestion if you're using a Mac, download "cleanmydrive" from the AppStore and use it to eject your USB.
I used boot camp on my Mac to get to Windows and when I set it to show hidden files in Control Panel I then deleted everything that wasn't either a folder (containing only MP3 files) or actual MP3 files.

I didn't do a reformat but your USB is best as FAT32 - mine was already Geoff

I just had to take my lad to a "house party" (must be something special on tonight).

Took the opportunity to do a few tests on my cleaned USB took a few seconds to initialise but then album/track switching was instant - I only have it set at two levels - one of Stan's suggestions - but I prefer three Artist/Album/Track so will be doing a few tests over the coming days.

FYI - The disk is a Kingston Data Traveler Micro USB 2.0 Flash / Key Drive - 64GB about 16 quid.

Thumbs Up Geoff

Hi Geoff, let me know how you go since I prefer to do multi level as well, Artist/Album/Songs as a minimum plus a few playlists.

Does anyone know what the max capacity of the JLR system is ?? I am looking at going for a 128 GB USB stick as that covers all my music I currently own. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!
