Sounds like the pads are stuck in the caliper carrier and everything needs a good clean out with a file. The caliper carriers will need to come off and the corrosion filed off in the grooves where the pads sit. The calipers may also be sticking a bit, which is probable if you haven't had them changed.

Thanks, not a chance of me doing it myself wouldn't have a clue where to start. Doesn't sound too horrendous I assume labour would be in the region of a couple of hours to do both sides? |

Something like that, would shop around for the best prices on oem discs. LRdirect is good for oem parts so are af and Dan. For my latest rear calipers from a local motor factors and they are remanufactured trw calipers by brake engineering, so far so good. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

It is very unusual to get juddering from rear discs, possible but not likely, so be prepared to change the front as well if it doesn't go away..... Pete

Was mainly just juddering on inclines. The fronts both feel smooth. Will it be safe to drive for a few days, kinda need it at the mo and this couldn't be a worse time to get something done. |

Yes, it will be fine to drive, as long as it's only doing it whilst braking... Pete
