Question about certain Colour

Are the Green FF's harder to sell and do they hold the same value as say a Black or Silver as these 2 colours seem to be that all you see on the roads and car mags ====================================

"Open Mike Night " sounded like a lot of fun until i found out i was going to an Autopsy

Green's a very traditional FFRR colour. I like it.

But ask Gaz. He's the FFRR selling expert around here.

Generic and from 2012 but a wee snapshot to debate... Not sure I agree with the batting order though!

"A white car will hold its value much better than a maroon vehicle, according to CAP. Below is a list of the best - and the worst - car colours in descending order.
White
Indigo
Purple
Pink
Yellow
Grey
Brown
Black
Silver
Red
Orange
Blue
Gold
Green
Turquoise
Maroon "

My vehicle comes under the 'Gold' category (Ipanema Sand) and AFAIK, it's one of the most sought after colours...

And those CAP placements are for all cars not being specific to the RR.

Thumbs Up

There was a time when white was to say the least undesirable, in fact the Freelander I just had on loan was white - I was very glad to get back in my Ipanema Sand Range Rover although I think it was more than just the colour. Very Happy Geoff

So what's the difference:

Purple

Maroon

According to the chart @ 10% Shocked

(Images from interior design site labelled as purple and maroon) .

I've seen a couple of green FFs for sale Mick. They do look nice but I keep remembering overhearing a Porsche salesman telling someone then had made a "brave decision" buying a bright yellow Boxster, I can't help but wonder if you'd take a kicking when you went to sell.
Of course, the flip side is, you should buy what you like, not what the next buyer might like Whistle Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

My current favorite is Havana (with Nara Bronze a Close second) and I was told I'd be brave to order that colour as well. Regards

Green cars will sell, you might just wait a little longer. I've heard they're associated with bad luck.

We privately sold a lovely well spec'd dark green metallic BMW a few years ago and it flew off the shelf at no less than other colour equivalents. Just like we then ordered a manual 5 series and the salesman warned us off saying we'd never sell it. That flew of the shelf for the correct amount 2 years later as well.

Buy the colour you want (and green is obviously the right colour for a Range Rover).

Makes zero difference in my experience when trading in, whatever the salesman might suggest - there'll always be another dealer who wants a sale.

My parents had their one and only green car, which broke down all the time!

It still sticks in my head all these years later, but then again, I try to avoid walking under ladders, and standing on the cracks in the pavement too Whistle Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue
