Removing side light - wingnut stuck

I need to replace a sidelight unit and the wingnut thats on the long threaded stud thats accessed from under the bonnet is stuck solid, no room to get in with anything to even cut it off, any ideas?

and is it a bit of stud, as ive bought a new light and it didnt come with any fixing, am worried when I do finally get it off, I wont have anything to fix the new unit on with Embarassed

Might be a good idea to hold the stud in some mole grips if you are applying heavy pressure, as it is possible the stud will turn in the sidelight setting. one way to get it out!

I did a mod on my sidelights because both sides were Censored . IIRC all parts sourced cheaply from Halfords. This might help:
