Fitting the upgraded crankcase breather is perfectly straightforward. Remove the covers, unbolt the old and bolt on the new. John

Thermostat not working correctly. Car's being fixed right now. No other issues reported.

Besides that, everything's ok and I can only recommend these simple mods. The only downsides are the turbo spinning and releasing like my old Lancia Delta EVO and the higher induction noise, which is frankly irritating.

Must start thinking about placing some sound deadener around the airbox... suggestions? Roberto

Quick update: couldn't stand the extra induction noise any more, therefore I bought a standard Bosch air filter and replaced the performance one.

Car is quieter, no discernable differences in performance or MPG. Roberto

Hi all

Is the extra noise that bad?!
Im just in the process of doing the EGR, Breather and was going to go Green Cotton filter (The Air filter is the only part i havent ordered yet!)

One of the other guys was saying the Bosch filters are well adaquate, but i was thinking the Green Cotton would play quite a part in the performance and mileage gains?

If its really that bad, i may have to go Bosch filter too!

Cheers Accept, some days your the pigeon, some days your the statue!

England 2014 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Loire Blue

The noise being described from the turbo when you back off, and sometimes when the car changes gear is the turbo stalling. When you are driving the turbo is spinning at 200,000 revs or whatever it's speed is, when you back off or change gear the throttle is closed shut, the pressure created by the turbo has to go somewhere and the place it used to go, through the egr, is blocked. The pressure then goes backwards through the turbo and stops it dead.... This can have significant impact on the life of the turbo... if it is doing it all the time you need a blow off valve (dump valve) to release this pressure safely. If you fit one it has to be matched to the turbo size and speed, don't just use a generic one, get the correct one from a specialist... Pete
