It's a good feeling when you get something working again... Notice your original post was last year, must have missed that one. Very unusual not to get any replies to a request like that? Previously..

Yea to be honest I've posted in a few threads about it but found nothing to suggest anyone has tried stripping it down, there are plenty of repair agents out there but I thought I'd have a go as you still need to remove the unit yourself.

my dvd changer has been working fine until now, got mecha error while the kids was watching yesterday, will try to do this for sure.

I got the Mecha Error across the Christmas break with my DVD. Finally got around to removing the DVD unit from rear of car and then removed the covering box off the player. Easy to see how it works but once I tweaked the mechanism a bit and refitted to the car harness, powered it up and now it ejects.

I finally got the time to take out the dvd changer, opened it, lubed all moving parts, put everything back together and it works as a charm 2010MY TDV8 Vogue Nara bronze / Arabica, Ivory. VW Amarok 2013 180 auto
