England 2010 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Santorini Black

Andy I got the bulbs from hids4u a sponsor on the D3 site. The xenon link is this un

And the high beam link is this un
http://www.hids4u.co.uk/h7-philips-x-treme...-pair.html
I was thinking of getting the 65w ones but didn't want to overload the electrics. Ie, keep it safe Thumbs Up
SWMBO even commented that the bulbs were a vast improvement, that was normal dipped beam. Didn't see high beam.

Lad so you changed two bulbs in the end, main headlights and side lights?

stan i like the idea of cranking them up, how easy is that to do?

i looked at how the lights come out? just looks like two screws holding them in at the front when the bonnet is up?

andy

Andy, I changed the main beam and xenon headlight. The sidelights I have are the fairy light LED dot kind. The main beam and xenon were changed without taking the headlight unit out of the car.

cant remember how to get the headlight out on the td6 but my SC has 2 on top and 1 hidden underneath the headlight unit, ..as for the beam adjustment there are 2 plastic hex sockets that take an allen key, one is for vertical and the other for horizontal....
i parked in front on the garage ,switched on the headlights and marked the garage door with some black tape and then adjusted ...
when adjusting, if you dont have a fixed focal point you tend to loose where the beams originally were.. ... - .- -.

also Andy, i think you might have to take the side indicator unit off first before the headlight, hopefully someone will confirm that or not.. ... - .- -.

You don't need to take out the headlights to change the Xenon bulbs on a TD6, procedure as below.

@Andyleeds, the bulbs you need are the D2S, there are plenty on ebay.

These are the ones I got for my TD6, a 2005 model Vogue, look really good and give a crisp white light.

Linky.. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2X-LAND-ROVER-RA..._683wt_958

Make sure the ones you get have the anti vibration clasps around the base of the bulb, the little silver clasps you will see in the picture of the bulb. It ensures that they don't fail prematurely. Thumbs Up

thanks Craig , i looked in his gallery and saw the square shape headlight...

@Andy, you need D1S bulbs and the units do come out, 2 screws at the top and 1 hidden underneath..i dont think you can get your hand inside the unit whilst on the FF unless you have very lady type hands...

headlight adjust is as per pic,

As usual the forum is coming up trumps!

So to summarise I need the D1S bulbs not the D3S type?

This would be handy as they are cheaper too!

And just follow the instructions that nice day has kindly found for me.....

I think I am getting confused

My lights are 2006 version to 2009? So this means D1S? As D3S is for 2009 onwards correct?
