Have two 100Ah bosch batteries in the garage which have just been on the cetek so could chuck one of them in for the time being!

One was the battery I thought was scoobied by the alternator, but seemed to recon ok on the charger. Very Happy There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Good luck but keep an eye on it. It may charge but if it has been badly discharged in the past the plates may have buckled and it may not hold the charge. Hope that's not the case. The recon may have sorted it Thumbs Up 2012 5.0L S/C

NMJ, an idea but you could hook up one of the batteries temporarily to the boot area and then just remove the one from the front. As long as you dont start or try to run any electrical systems and insulate both battery clamps at the front it would save you losing the settings on any of the onboard stuff Smile You could leave the battery in the car and just disconnect the leads and cover them so they dont touch anything, easier than yanking it out again and the heat given off the battery tray area can more than deal with Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

My Bosch S020 only lasted 18 months. Again ECP replaced without question, you will need your receipt I would have thought.
I would recommend CTEK battery chargers.

i think a ctek charger might be a good idea as i have the tow bar electrics..... does a mulitimeter show what you need to see as isn't it about what it does when its under load?

so where would be the best place to purchase a new batt..

I keep getting HDC inactive, although my 65 mile drive should be bringing the batt back to full spec every day. I suspect if has lost some retention of charge now (it is 3 1/2 years old)

Tayna will look at warranty for me (it has 5 yrs) but it involves sending them the batt first (so I will not have a car) before they tell me if it's knackered. If it is they will send me a new one but the new one will only have the remaining portion of the 5 yrs warranty (i.e. 18 months). That seems a bit strange but so be it.

Just wondering if i should just go and buy a new one somewhere else. Any deals out there....?

Cheers Ash

I recently purchased a Bosch S50 battery from Euro car parts and it was £114 delivered. Has been great on these cold mornings and the car can stand a few days and then fire up on the button no problem. Thumbs Up

Battery Megastore is the cheapest after you Like them on facebook and follow them IIRC Smile I also downloaded their app which brought the price down even more Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
