Air suspension ride height has A mind of its own l322

I have a 2003 range rover td6 l322. Its air suspension was causing alot of trouble as of late, I found out one of the heights sensors was broken so I replaced it. But a couple of weeks before this the air suspension was causing trouble e.g The rear being very high and the front being low, Or one side being high and the other low. How do I calibrate it? It would go into suspension fault sometimes, I would just clear it using a handheld computer, Some days it would be terrible like fail all the time and others it would work perfect. What software should I use? Thanks guys

The IID tool from Gap (site sponsors) will calibrate and sort faults with the suspension, I wouldn't think yours is a calibration issue though, the tool will show all faults stored... check the battery voltage first... Pete

Thank you Haylands, I can read the faults with my current module and the faults, What should they be reading and if they are wrong what does this mean? thanks again

That is usually a problem with a height sensor, the front ones can flip over and will give an incorrect reading, the computer knows this is wrong as it's so far out, that it gives this fault...

Where the front sensor arm meets the height sensor, it should point outwards, towards the outside of the car, they can end up pointing inwards if you jack the car up or hit a big bump etc....

So check both front sensors first.... Pete

Thanks for your advice. Would it never be effected by the rear, I changed the rear height sensor on the drivers side today, its causing the rear driver side to go very high, (too high)

Thank everyone also for there replys, Also when removing the the rear driver side height sensor was a very hard task, As one of the bolts was baldy damaged, It took a long time to remove using hammers saws, etc, I am just wondering would this effect the read height for the new height sensor, It does not look like its put in wrong but could it be? It looks perfect,

Also I just did some more research my front left hand height sensor is reading 42.0.v All the other are around 2.0 v also The rear right hand height sensor is reading -42.00 m Even though it is very high on the airbag, What does this mean? Should I Recalibrate the heights? thanks again for everyones help
