Hi,

As part of an ongoing process to source and remedy the cause of an oil leak, before the car next goes in, the garage has asked me to email them with a timeline of symptoms and photographs I've taken of components where there is visible oil discharge.

So I can at least try and describe things properly to the garage, can anyone please confirm the name of the gold/ yellow coloured part on the image below/ is it the drive shaft?

The shaft is pictured upside down on your screen due to the iPad and is the gold coloured part of a shaft just to your left of the black nut, the gold part being from the central underside of the vehicle out towards the passenger side. Whilst clean on this image I later found it to have an excess coating of oil around this part of the shaft:
