Has anyone done this? What are the pros and cons? I'm mainly wanting to free up space on the device. Would like to unlock the ability to move apps to the sd card. Does that sound reasonable with a rooted device?

If it is memory space you are lacking there is a a code *#xxx* which takes you in to a service mode where you can delete the dump memory or something like that.

The standard file manager apps dont have access to system resources such as system cache and memory dump. On my S2 i recevered about 0.8GB of space out of a total of 1.98GB. Thats was after I have deleted unused apps and moved as many as possible to the SD card. |
