Scotland 2014 Range Rover Vogue SDV6 Santorini Black

Well if you read it as snobbery on my part Nick1, you read it incorrectly... and it's not too far off a 9mpg car, although their uneducated guess was more luck than learned judgement on their part.

Thumbs Up

I hope you reminded them that 'old' Range Rovers are still going for over £50k (more than all three of those vehicles are worth I'd imagine).

My brother in law follows the forum keenly... partly amusing himself with my DIY pro active maintenance 'journey'.

He tongue in cheek txt me yday and asked "Do you think your Range Rover looks dated?" ... Aye but not as much as my golf gear!

Guys, we can laugh and joke all we want as we are amongst like minded individuals, however truth be known my Merc and Audi cost me nothing apart from routine maintenance RR going in tomorrow for its annual wallet emptying (MOT, Service, Suspension and unknown stuff). BUT I love the damn thing.....its an affliction. My name is Rosco an I am a Range Rover Owner...sit down.. Bow down

Well Rosco, you strike a chord... The boys did ask me "So why did you buy one?"

My reply was simply "To scratch an itch." ... End of conversation with nowhere else for it to go with people not interested in these cars.

Before deciding to look at them - on impulse really - there was never an appeal. Before buying one, I was told on Landyzone that ownership becomes 'a way of life'. I underestimated that and didn't realise they actually meant in order keep it on the road Rolling with laughter

Great cars, addictive, a healthy interest, a wee hobby, escapism etc ... the forum is part of that and without it (and in fairness the dealer) our particular car would have been long gone... But why get rid when it's ageing so well!

Wink
