It's just jealousy When my TT was much newer (when I first got it) I'd get the obligatory 'hairdressers car' comments from people driving 10 year old Fiesta's.......

if you had got out of a lovely mark 2 jag, and got your clubs out, would they have said, -coo, that's a bit old! or would they have said, -now that's a proper car!

Maybe it was a bit of reverse psychology to put you off your game, since you're a scratch golfer? Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

Sorry to say this Ryan, but what a bunch of nitwits (don't want to use stronger language amongst a distinguished group of ladies and gents of the fullfatforum). Dated is completely the wrong word for what the L322 really is. It is a Classic car that is going to still be looking gorgeous in a decade or two/three/four plus. Like the Classic, the L322 will remain unique in a brilliant way.

+1....every time I walk towards my FF a grin appears...it's simply the best all rounder I have ever had the pleasure to own. I always wanted one as a kid and couldn't beleive it when I got mine

I think original Classic and L322 are the best looking Range Rovers. L405 is certainly a better car and is just newer and for your friends newer is better, when there's a new model out of their repmobile they surely want the latest model and not be seen in the old one. But a Range Rover has a longer lifespan and looks timeless, not dated. Look at a Classic in perfect condition, it looks fab and very "old money". Love it! I think your friends are not very carminded, they buy cars like they would buy a washing machine, they see cars as consumer products which the Range Rover isn't. Time to make new friends! |

And I would have explained to them that I don't like driving round with my arse on the floor with everyone else, in cars that are of no use if the White stuff comes down or there is a bit of a flood. I like to use my car all year round.
