Wolfsburg Edition?

On the number plate surrounds on my newly acquired 2006 4.2SC it says "Wolfsburg Edition".
Does this mean it's a Dog, or does it signify some sort of styling or performance upgrade?

It means someone has put a VW number plate surround on it.
