Door Handle Mechanism Removal

Outer door handle cable end receptacle fractured a while back, and after some shameful bodging involving Gorilla tape the time has come to remove the door handle and replace the receptacle casting with a second hand item. Powerful UK video makes it look too easy - just undo two Torx 30 bolts and it drops out. Is it really this simple? I am already well versed in removing the door card...

Well, that was gratifyingly simple! Door card off, two torx bolts unscrewed and out the handle popped. Ten minutes later, casting and spring swopped over, refitted, door card back and all as good as new.
Thanks to Gentlemen of Salvage for excellent service supplying the donor door handle (they even responded on a Sunday). 2011MY 4.4TDV8 Autobiography Baltic Blue

Just to add, that I have had several parts sourced through 'Gentlemen of salvage' for my ffrr and other cars. the service I have received has been second to none. One part located, easily, and at very reasonable cost was a part for my daughter's ( At the time old Corolla ) that Toyota claimed did not exist. Some of said people have lots more knowledge than the manufacturers Bow down
