Which C Tek battery charger?

Looking to buy a C Tek charger which I can leave conected to the FF during periods when it is not used a great deal.

Don't quite know which one to buy though. Confused

Any advice would be very welcome. Thumbs Up

How long are you going to leave it, how much are you going to use it when you do use it?

Don't forget one of these if you like Whistle http://www.disco3.co.uk/shop/towing-socket...c-p45.html

IMHO 5amps would be enough, but they recommend the 7amp one for your size of battery.... Pete

Hi Martin.

I will be getting one of your connectors (already on the list)

The car can, on occasion, be left for a couple of weeks when I am on holiday abroad.

I can't decide between the MXS5, MXS7 or MXS10. Don't want to spend over £100 on the 10 if the 5 will do the job just as well.

MSX5 is truly fine, will take longer to bring up to fully charged, but for conditioning should be just right. .

I have the 7. It's excellent.

The 5 will just do it according to the spec, so I got the 7 to be sure.....

Just got the 7.0 myself. Top bit of kit. Have a few batteries to condition in the garage and a leisure battery to charge.

And it has a nice handy carry bag....... There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Hi all,

I'm getting an external 240v plug socket fitted on my drive as I will probably leave my FF for up to 3 weeks at a time unused several times a year or would just leave catechism connected at all times to trickle charge the battery until using i,t reading back is the 7 the one to go for my requirements then ?

Do not have a tow bar/ electrics as yet or would have used that option for sure......on that note anyone know best place to have a tow bar fitted in SE Kent area and ideas on prices of course Thumbs Up

Ctek 7.0 seems to be the way to go. I am trawling to find the best price at the moment. Ebay is winning hands down.

Don't know your area for towbars but have you considered fitting it yourself. It is a doddle to do. Get the dedicated elecrics and even that is simple, plug and play.

I have fitted a number of bars to a variety of cars and the Range Rover was easily the simplest.

Took me about 3 hours from start to finish but allow yourself 5 or 6. Thumbs Up

This is on my list I thought they were a lot more expensive- of course with the essential tow socket adapter!
