Miggit (and others)

big thanks for the tips on 13 pin electrics especially at the bargain price. Bit strange though that PF's pricing is that way round - you'd think the deal price would be when buying bundled with other stuff.

But great spot - many, many thanks.

Beau Thumbs Up

Not a problem Bud glad to help. And I must admit that I was surprised to find the 13pin wiring cheaper in the stand a lone bit. Think maybe they have got the price wrong some where, grab one quick!!
I only stumbled on it by chance, I had remembered seeing it in their ebay shop for under £90, so I went rooting about until success Razz
Oh I did order it all in the same order, just from 2 different locations on their site and I had NO problems at all, they just sent it Very Happy Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

I have the answer - I wanted to book in fitting as well so had to speak to them on the phone.

Turns out the cheaper electrics are not Wesphalia but are by a very good manufacturer to exactly the same spec so they do exactly the same things re suspension etc.

For that much of a saving it was a no brainer for me.

Thanks again.

I beg to differ Bud I have fitted the kit and it is made by Westfalia, and is plastered in their stickers, don't accept anything less, its a genuine kit without the land rover sticker and 200% markup!
Come to think of it, it did come in a plain box.... maybe its oem westfalia and dosen't have their markup either! Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

I bought a towbar an car specific twin electrics (non lr) and they are still sitting in the boiler room months later.

I got stumped by .... wait for it .... the rear mudflap bolts Laughing Stupid things are seized solid and I only had multi point sockets to hand. Have not got a nice new set of 6 point sockets and keep telling myself I really must get off my backside and do it Whistle 09 TDV8 Westminster, Mariana Black, Rear seat entertainment, hatch bag and 2 slobbery mutts

Make sure you have a helper to hand, you'll need 4 hands to remove the bumper without ruining the paint. And you'll need 2 persons to fit the main part of the towbar, it don't look much, but it ain't half heavy. Oh and make sure that you free the loom for the reversing sensors before you remove said bumper, otherwise you'll need a third person to dive in the boot head first to free the loom Wink Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer...
