England 2014 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Loire Blue

I did post it on my project thread...

I have painted the complete wiper arm on this picture but not the piece of trim under the headlight.... it's as close as you can get, even the metallic sheen is similar...

My before and after bonnet vent

David, mirror caps are easy, they just pull off, if you want to do your handles in body colour you will need to prime them and wet flat them, after the adhesion promoter, the top colour coat is just that, you will see ANY small imperfection when you put the lacquer on.... several coats of primer and then wet flat with 1000grit paper until you have a totally even and flat surface without any breakthrough to the plastic.... It's a fare bit more work than doing them matt...

Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated Mr. Green  Pete

I live in the U.S. and was wondering where I can get that paint color. I have only seen it in the U.K. Where did you get yours?

It's a standard colour, any paint shop will be able to mix it... Pete

They would be superb if it wasn't for the fact they get worn with bush rash every time I do some laning.... The bonnet trim and lights are spot on still....

I did my mates handles on his shiney just after I did mine and they still look as new.... Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Pete

Blimey that's a lot of money, get it much cheaper from a paintshop supply stores, you will have a local one...

Also the lacquer will be shiny, you need matt lacquer for it to look right... Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Pete

Aye it's not cheap, but the kit comes with a primer for plastic (which isn't cheap on its own) and the lacquer says matt finish. Will have a go at it and see what it looks like on a test bit of placcy before attacking the handles & bonnet intake. Current RR L322 TDV8 VOGUE
