Number PLate lamp Warning after fitting LED / Camera cure

Hi all, just a quick FYI.
If you have fitted a BMW style reversing camera / light combination, and your going nuts from the endless "Number Plate Lamp" warning, help is at hand!!!!!!!!!
I've fitted an inline ballast resistor to the wires for the LED and peace at last Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy
The fix cost me an arm and a leg at £2.60! I just wish I'd saved up earlier.
Right the unit was very easy to fit, just cut the wires for the LED and put the resistor in line, having first cut off the plugs which were for a 5w capless bulb. Simple as that, just made sure that I kept the + leads on one side and the - on the other, as the resistor does not require a specific + / - connection. I aquired the resistor from that obscure site Ebay, and here is a link to silence and bliss when you turn on the ignition........

Make sure you check the resistor is not going to melt anything as it heats up sir Whistle

They can get very hot over prolonged use and are best attached to bodywork to dispensate heat... Leave your side lights on and check the resistor as it warms up and again after 20min increments sir Thumbs Up

Miggit, you would be far better finding someone with the kit to turn off the monitoring system in the CCF files in the LCM my friend...

Really easy to do if you have the right kit Thumbs Up
