X5 vs RRS

I was reading one of the threads on your sister's site, comparing X5 and RRS, although I'm not yet a fully fledge member here(no RR), and only has a total of no more than 5 posts to my name Embarassed but hoping to be very soon!!!
I would like to say my piece....and hope I'm not offending any die-hard RRS fan here...
Here's my thought on it, the RRS imo is no match to X5, it has less interior space than X5, and the quality of the plastics are inferior, and not as well built, but the TDV6 engine is definitely more refine, if I have to choose, it would has to be the RRS with the TDV8 in, without it..it would definitely be a X5! Thumbs Up

not wanting to be flippant, but go sit in an X5 then go and sit in a proper Range Rover, it isn't even worth trying to compare the two. The X5 was developed by BMW to sit below the RR in spec and performance, at the time BMW owned Land Rover and there was no point duplicating the mark.

A FFRR is a 4 wheeldrive Bentley, an X5 is for people who couldn't afford a SPORT Very Happy

The BMW X5 has all the style and grace of a club foot! Badly made in America for Americans who have a very different set of requirements from their cars.

No contest, buy the RRS but remember that by LR standards they're not brilliant off-road. Rules are made for the obedience of fools and the guidance of wise men.

Each to their own and all that... X5 is definitely better built than RRS.

All IMO of course...
