I have just purchased this;



to upgrade my navigation system from the MKIII CD version.
I do not have the touch screen. Can someone please tell me what is the latest version of the DVD disc that will work with my new set up.

I could be wrong but that looks like the Nav DVD that goes with the touch screen system and what you ned is a BMW Mk4 DVD Nav, they are not the same system , the touch screen one is fiber optic and works on the MOST transport system . 2008 MY Supercharged

there is no way you can install a touch screen to you car, and that nav unit is for later car V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

how much did you pay for it, can yu not put it on ebay...or do a deal with the mk4 unit...

I paid £170 for it on ebay. I'm busy at the moment trying to see if I can get a refund. If not I'mm gonna have to advertise it. Just to avoid me making the same mistake, does anyone know the part no. for the mk4 dvd unit?

hi mate, you just need to get a mk4 dvd unit, they are from the bmw as well...mk3 is cd based
if you are not sure this is it, note the DVD logo on the front

I just hit the buy it now button as it seemed such a bargain at that price.
I have been onto the seller and the very kind gentleman said I CAN'T return it, so good of him that. I suppose it was my mistake so it will have to go straight back on ebay.

dave, whats the benefits of having the dvd based unit, is it quicker map rendering and detailed mapping..
