Faults everywhere and IID tool not working!

I'm out and about at the moment and ive just had hdc inactive appear on the dash. Parked up, turned the car off and restarted and the faults cleared. However, I now have no indicators and there are several warning lights I the dash- abs, brake pads etc. the lo range light is also flashing. The sat nav screen is also flashing the splash screen intermittently.

To make matters worse, I've just plugged in the IID tool and that's not coming on either!

Any help appreciated!

It's turning over and starting ok though?

Yestersday, the splash screen stayed on. When I went to restart it, it was asking for a code. Thankfully, I had the code and it's started.

If it is the battery, this will be the 2nd time I've replaced it. It's the larger Bosch unit with a five yr guarantee. I've just got home and the indicators are working, just not ticking on the dashboard.

Abs lights are still on and the suspension has locked but no fault message this time?

I've plugged it into the charger so we'll see what happens

Just done that. No lights on the dash at the moment, but no splash screen at all now and indicators still not ticking.

No IID tool either.

Charging as we speak.

Could be alternator I would check the voltage with engine running The difference between theory and reality is that in theory it will work.

How would that affect the vehicle?

No radio either. Every time I press the radio button, the splash screen comes on briefly.

Proper gremlins this time!

Anyone?

Hi Noddy,
I actually had a similar issue in my TD6 last autumn that ended up costing me a €400 tow Shocked
In my case my younger daughter had hit the rear hatch release button on the key one night before a heavy rain (hatch was open one 'click') - and everything in the electronics compartment was wet. Seems the iBus crashed the CAN. I couldn't even start, tho.

I had similar symptoms: no indicators, satnav screen blank, etc. And no diagnostic system will work if the CAN is crashed.

You may have another cause to your prob, but something is blocking comms on the busses.

"Asking for code" made me think key ?

What code did you need to enter out of interest ? I don't "have" any codes for my FFRR ? .
