Noisy folding mirrors

Lo Peeps

My mirrors are getting noisy when folding.
Is it just a case of lubrication and if so what should I use ?
Was thinking WD40 but thought it was best to ask Embarassed
Thanks in advance Thumbs Up

Cheers

Is there any particular silicone spray as I am pretty sure I haven't got anything like that ? , this might come across as a daft question but not clued up on things like this Embarassed

Think I like the idea of the silicon spray as me doing something like that will more than likely end up breaking something but hey I might have a go at taking it apart Laughing

Many Thanks for the advice Thumbs Up

Time to take the beast out for a run to Costa's for a fix considering what an awesome day it is and probably Halfords after but not the Uxbridge one as I got a ticket there the last time I went in there.

You only get an hour and I didn't even realise there were parking restrictions but the nice manager at Halfords emailed the parking company and cancelled the ticket Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

I used the WD40 'specialist' PTFE spray seems to have done the trick.

Edit. it's specialist, not pro.

@ happymadison1978 Thank you Thumbs Up

I might have a go at that , did get some professional silicon spray from halfords yesterday but might try the WD40 Specialist PTFE. Idea

When in halfords yesterday, I couldn't get over how many different types of WD40 they do now Laughing

The only problem with going into halfords things get stuck to my hand and end up spending a fortune and then taking most of it back ( yes I know I am a sad case ) Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

Haha I'm exactly the same... it's more or less how I ended up owning so many rattle cans of various solvents/lubricants/protectants Smile

Nothing in my house squeaks! (the guinea pig was a little perturbed when I inserted the straw!

That's because you inserted it in the wrong end, very common mistake. Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter
