They look nastier than a dose of the clap don't do it , you will have to remove the little flaps to fit them because there is no where for them to fit inside the roof rack foot .

I actually fancy the OEM rails and crossbars and there are quite a few OEM quality copies out there now.

I bought some of the OEM copies recently , same as the ones Powerfull and some fleebay sellers sell and they are definitely not OEM quality anymore . The fitting have been cheapened quite a lot and the end caps simply brake off trying to fit them and there is no way to make a repair to reattach them . This is bad enough but the roof bars no longer have enough adjustment to move up and down the track so can only stay at the either ends, one is too short to move forward and the other too long to go back . I tried to remove them and found out that the changes to the design of the bars foot means it catches on the end caps and can't come out So I remove the six bolts and take the whole thing off and look at the six holes in my roof where the flaps were and feel just a bit off .

I have a question about roof bars that I hope someone can answer for me. I know there are three mounting points on the roof where the roof rails are bolted onto. I'm not keen on permanently removing the plastic flaps for these mounting points so would rather attach roof bars directly to the mounting points. Are the middle and front mounting points in the correct position to use a large Thule roof box? Or will I have to go with the roof rails and roof bars combination in order to get the positioning just right for the roof box.
