I am very happy with my 2007 to 2010 conversion and have not had any issues. I had to access the wiring to do some other work and found all the new joints were soldered connections with heat-shrink seals on each joint so looks like that's quite important for the integrity of the electrical joints. No regrets at all, brought the ff nov 12 for 9000, spent 4k inc wheels on facelift sold the old parts and wheels for 1k sold ff April 2014 for 10500. 18 months with a range rover only 1.5k depreciation if only all cars were this cheap to own. Insurance, tax, mot and fuel would have had to be spent on what ever car I had bought. Only fault in all my time of ownership was the alternator @ £350. Find a good body shop or use camtech for the facelift and you won't be disappointed. It's a great way to try ff ownership without the worry of massive depreciation remember FSH is a must and for what it's worth my 4.4v8 averaged 15mpg over the fuel I bought and the miles I covered, my 2009 navara auto only averaged 19.5! So not as expensive to run as I thought it would be. All the best with the new purchase. |

You are replacing the headlights/bumper/other bits with factory parts designed to go on the vehicle. In contrast to other vehicle updates (such as MB and Audi) that would need different body parts - which make the conversion uneconomical so the original parts are cut, adapted and painted - this is all plug n play. The problem really is that people will spend GBP2000+ on parts and try to save on the last couple couple of hundred for the install.
