Fitting hybrid tv tuner HELP!

Hi all, I brought a hybrid box for my 06 l322 the part No. is AH42-19C063-AE
I've pluged it in but cannot get it to work. What pal setting do I need to select? Also there is an extra green plug socket in the hybrid box that the old analog box doesn't have. any advice would be great thankyou.

Don't worry about the extra green plug, it's not needed for the TV Tuner to work. Make sure that your location is set to United Kingdom on the settings menu and set to PAL not NTSC. Also, you may find that your in a location where the FF antennae can't pick up a decent signal, so you may need to have a drive around to get a picture.

Where did you get the TV tuner from? If it's a second hand unit, there's always the possibility that it's a duff unit, so might be worthwhile getting it checked out in someone else's FFRR.

Thanks for all the responses
I Pulled the whole lot out to see in there was a missing connector behind the units Big Cry
finally got it back together and did a battery reset, Only F'king working Mr. Green
But doesent work even with a key in the ignition & in park. is there a way to get this changed?

so it works when the engine is running and in park?

as for having it work when in motion , we tend to scorn on that because of the dangers of being distracted whilst driving. ... - .- -.

Just checking that you have the parking brake on as well as mine only works when in Park and with the parking brake applied unless I put in to test mode. It is designed only to work when parked as a safety feature although there are ways to bypass this apparently. There is a difference between knowing your sh!t and knowing you're sh!t

No it is only working without the key in the ignition, as soon as in put the key in the screen cuts out with "for your safety blah blah" the hand break is on

Do you get the red light on the dash when the handbrake is on? My TV would not work for a while as the contact was not sensing the handbrake being on.

Do you get the sound from the channels you pick-up when you run the engine and the picture goes?

I'll try to remember to see if mine works without the key turned on when I get home (I know I don't get any channels at work) There is a difference between knowing your sh!t and knowing you're sh!t

Ive just had a look and there is no red light on the dash when the handbrake is on! I have never noticed this before. Is this an easy fix? sound works and just pulled it outside my unit and got a load more channels.

The sensor on mine that was not registering was at the base of the parking brake (I was able to see by removing the cupholder/ashtray from the centre unit) From memory it is a white plastic block that moves with the handbrake, mine was being block by a misplaced wire stopping it moving freely.

I have the actual mechanical handbrake so not relevant if you have the electronic one without a proper mechanical handle. There is a difference between knowing your sh!t and knowing you're sh!t
