United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Buckingham Blue

Has a non standard TV screen setup in the dash, so make sure everything hifi and TV and sat nav etc all work to your satisfaction. Computer functions may not work either.

Prob been swapped due to water leak in the boot damaging the original electronics which can be costly to replace.

Could also have been swapped as a previous owner just liked the aftermarket unit though.

Watch the condition of the alloys as those wheels are not standard and could be overfinch tiger copies. Make sure they have not been cracked or welded up, as the car is best part of 3 tons loaded up and the wheels need to be strong enough when you whack into a pot hole.

Land rover wheels have a load rating of more than 900kg stamped on the rear of the alloy.

There is a buyers guide in the wiki section for the other stuff, wiki top right of the web page.....

Parcel shelf looks stained (water damage)?

Alloys are kerbed.

Does the car seem like its trying very hard to look expensive?

Thumbs Up

It also has a 'dummy' facelift front grill.

Be interesting to find out if it does look in as good condition as the ad text suggests... Or whether it's mutton. Hopefully, it will meet your expectations though SM Thumbs Up

How many miles you going to do? I'd try a similar age 4.4 V8 first and potentially save myself a pile of cash. When I went to get mine I tried both, and V8 came out way ahead, but I only do about 5k a year. Mine had 143k on the clock and I paid just over £5k for it this time last year. Can get just over 20mpg on a long run sticking to the limit - drops down to 14mpg with the caravan on the back. Sound of the V8 is just ace. make sure you have a bit put aside for the envitable repairs that it will need. I reckon mine has cost me about £800 in repairs this last year and that has been doing most of it myself (radiator, track rod ends, battery, rocker cover gasket, all new fluids and filters and just about to do the fuel pump and FSR).

Dont be swayed by cosmetic aftermarket stuff someone else has done.

Try and buy a nice honest standard car and the monkey around yourself! The aftermarket head unit, overfinch copy (probably) wheels, non standard towbar, aparently stained and broken rear shelf and replica supercharged grille would put me off even looking at it! These things arent too pricey to get hold of and it looks like they have been added to create a "stunning example". There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Thanks fellas

Had already penciled in the removalof all the chrome and aftermarket rubbish, I've been past when the dealer was closed and from the outside it is in decent enough condition but the water mark is a concern. I think ill go back to the drawing board and find an unmolested example in hindsight I see no point in spending money returning it to its previous condition.

I saw the head unit when i looked through the window and thought it looked a bit "weird"..

In answer to kiter I'd say no more than 8000 miles a year. Girlfriend had a Fiat 500 which we tend to share as well so will mainly be dual carriageway trips to Newcastle or the odd 2 mile bad weather drive to work. I'llhave a search for V8 petrol info as I'd totally overlooked it.

A quick search of the area has revealed this but I'llhave to read up on the V8 before I enquire further. Might have to travel in the end as there's not much up here apart from blinged up examples

Seems good value if in good nick as facelift will have cost a bit. Cannot go far wrong if you can get a bit off that.
