2007 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.2 SC V8 Stornoway Grey
WARNING and HELP needed

on the tools recommended thread I rec'd an ELM327 wifi interface for fault reading looking at fuel trims etc,

anyway I got one from ebay (someone had used one with his iphone previously on my car and it worked fine)

so when I plugged it into the car I ended up with a high pitched squealing noise from the ecu area , the suspension is showing a fault (it thinks that a door is open so will not change height ) the interior lights don't come on with doors opened, the central locking doesn't work, and my iid tool no longer is recognised.

I have tried a hard reset , ie battery disconnect and leads touched together , still the same .....

oh dear!!

over to you guys for any thoughts/help

Which ELM327 did you get? Or was it simply a case of accidentally shorting some pins when you plugged it in?

FWIW mine looks like this (but it doesn't have "Made in China" on the sticker, and it has a bluetooth logo before the OBD)
