Scotland 2017 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Loire Blue

Judging by the seat heating controls, it's actually a vogue SE, unless you can spec a Vogue with them. No sign of RSE, so maybe it's not an SE?
I don't think OF ever did wheels like those, and yes, the spacing on the lettering is appalling!

Bit of a mongrel, I'd say.

Did you call him MATEY? I'm guessing that's what the try number is supposed to say? Whistle Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

Had - 2007 S/C in Stornoway Grey

Did the heated/cooled seats only come with the Vogue SE then ?

it's only a 2 owner car and matey seems very genuine. He has not hidden anything about the car. He's told me that he put the wheels on as the old ones were cheap non genuine ones and they cracked. He said the new ones are forged, but there is no proof of that.

Also, he's got it in the main dealer today to do a check over and a printout of any faults etc.

I'm just not sure..

Cooled seats are standard on the SE, but it's possible that it was an option on the Vogue, but I don't know. I'm sure someone on here be able to confirm that. The lack of RSE kinda points to that. Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

RSE? I dont get all your acronyms lol. what's SSRR too?

He has sent me pictures of all the overfinch bits, they all look original, with overfinch stamps etc on them. Not sure whether to take a punt on this one.

Cheers,

Paul.

United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Buckingham Blue

Ssrr is semi skimmed range rover, ie, the sport.......

Never been in one myself. I understand the tdv8 has a few issues in there, possibly due to the increased heat issue due to more confined engine bay.

IMHO, the td6 is possibly the most reliable unit fitted to the l322. The gearbox is possibly the worst. That's the cheaper way round to have it.......

Phoned overfinch about the car and they haven't got it in their records. They did say that their system was changed over in 2006 though and they haven't got any records before that.

The car has got overfinch speedo and door badges, also badges on all the overfinch parts and they don't look like copies. The bloke paid 40k for it a few years ago too so he's head it a few years.

The car is currently at "Land Rover Parts LTD" also known as "Jamesons service centre" in Birmingham(specialist). I phoned them up and they seemed to be quite helpfull. Talked me through the car. Track rod end boot is slightly worn, but that was about it. no oil leaks or warning lights etc.

So really, my only concern is the wheels. I found the company that do them (700 quid on ebay). So I could just get the car with a view to change the wheels back to genuine ones at some point?

Cheers.

Just found out that the wheels are rated to 785kg each - is this enough to support the weight over the front axles??

Cheers, paul.

It's certainly not a genuine over finch - they don't supply that lettering as an extra - they only put it on cars they supply from new.

The bodykit is wrong - can't tell if it's an older Overfinch kit or not, but not the right one for the age.

Seems like a good buy though Thumbs Up

I'd get those wheels changed ASAP - accident waiting to happen and you're insurance may well be void
