The opinions are that they are the car bargain.

They came with the full Vogue SE specification, every toy you could want, super smooth V8, loads of power, great noise and if you get a pre 2006 registered one it's only £280 in car tax. Discovery 4 HSE

Agree with above comments Spooky. You just want to drive the thing all the time. Unfortunately mines is a 2006 so I get clobbered for the full road tax thing, so Matt has got the best deal. Definitely worth investigating and get yourself a test drive, you won't be disappointed!  SDV8 AB MY 2019

The early SCs will now be getting the "wear" issues, like air bags (front ones on mine have been done last year), the engine and transmission oil heat exchangers (design fault common to all early 6 speed ZF gearbox cars apparently, NOT a FFRR specific issue for a change).

The engine and gearbox are virtually bullet proof apart, although some of the gearboxes could get a bit of an issue with the coils of the Mechatronic that need to be replaced (a few forum members, including myself have had this).

I miss mine terribly (it is sitting in Nigeria while I have left, waiting for it to be shipped once I have all the paperwork sorted).

I may actually get a RHD one myself and sell the LHD one in Nigeria locally or ship it to Europe and sell it there.

Anyway, they are absolutely great cars. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

Well I've had my fun in this for the past 18 months, travelled 4000 ish trouble free miles, she's freshly serviced (replaced the calipers and discs front and back) and MOT'd and now up for grabs - PM me if interested - I'll put a proper For Sale up when I get around to it but aside from changing the front grille to a genuine shiny item, she is as the description above.

I paid £12k, spent £1.5k on servicing and brake replacement so think £10.5k (allows a £500 wiggle) would be a fair price (mileage today 116534) - viewing welcome in Headcorn, Kent
