Really impressed

Just thought I'd post a quick note to say ..

WOW..!

Just got my BM54 and DSP back from Baris..... What a great fella and What a massive difference it makes.

Firstly Baris - I've been out for about half an hour with no drop outs in the sound so it looks like the dry joints were the issue. So pleased so far with the fix..

I opted for the "stage 2" upgrade which gives better output from the BM54 - What a difference it makes to the sound quality both at low level and the ability to crank it up is also greatly enhanced.

I can't thank you enough Baris.... Thumbs Up Bow down Ash

To be fair Stan, I did feel a bit bad after all the posts, though it's not Baris who's advertising, its us....

Yes, I'm sure there is plenty of work we can put his way. I think he is a sponsor on a BMW forum.

Well happy with my stage 2 upgrade. Makes it what it should have been. Can't believe how nice the stock system sounds now.

Hey MJ - Did you upgrade your speakers as well..?

The sound is so much better but could do with some slightly better speakers I think. I also suffer a bit of "Bass Rattle". probably because the panels are all a bit loose now.. Ash

My speakers are stock. I did look out for some from the 2005 onwards cars, with the touch screen nav, as I think they will handle more power.

Couldn't see a set for sale on the bay of e, and buying new ones cost a fortune.

Having got the stage 2 now, I'm not sure they would be much better. That said, I'd like to have a good listen to a system with the later speakers.

Baris has ripped his stock speakers out of an M3 he's got, and thinks they can be improved upon.

I want mine to look stock though, so if you know of any that are a direct replacement, let me know.

I also understand the stock speakers are a non standard ohm.....

When you look at the cones on the stock speakers, they don't look brilliant, but sound pretty good for a stock system. 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

I looked at doing this before, but couldn't find any for sale.

New ones cost a fortune, and I dare say you'd need to change all 12 (?) to make it sound right.

Where did you get yours from ?

Do you know of any anywhere ? 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

What was the final price for this job? I have a faulty BM54 I could get repaired & upgraded and not have to be without a radio...

You'd be best to pm Baris, but if it's a channel down in the amp, it gets fixed by the amp upgrade. I paid £79.99 as I had already had the stage 1 upgrade 2 years ago.

I've got £149 in my head for a straight stage 2, but you'd need to check.

If the upgrade would not fix the fault on the unit, he does a repair service if you just want that. 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

It was indeed £149 for the full stage 2. Great service as well. Sent the unit off and it was all done (repaired dry joints in my case), upgraded and back in my car within a week.

I guess it depends on how bust Baris is but PM him.. Ash
