About the easiest car ever. The filter is at the top of the engine bay so is nice and easy to get to.
With the suspension on high and a door wedged open you can get under the engine easily enough to drain the oil. Unless you're a fatty, but I assume with a range rover you cant actually afford to eat...
As for parts, I like the k&n oil filters, genuine ones are not great and they can break up. And oil I go for Fuchs SuperSyn. Used to get it from g&s at about £15 per 4l... that being said, all engines behave differently, you might find you need a thinner oil to alleviate vanos rattle or thicker oil if your seals are prone to weeping.
