Oil Change on 4.4V8 petrol

Looking for advice on how easy it is to do an oil change on the 02 4.4V8 L322 and what oil/filter is recommended.
Relative novice with limited equipment i.e no ramps or pit to hand.
Thanks

About the easiest car ever. The filter is at the top of the engine bay so is nice and easy to get to.
With the suspension on high and a door wedged open you can get under the engine easily enough to drain the oil. Unless you're a fatty, but I assume with a range rover you cant actually afford to eat...

As for parts, I like the k&n oil filters, genuine ones are not great and they can break up. And oil I go for Fuchs SuperSyn. Used to get it from g&s at about £15 per 4l... that being said, all engines behave differently, you might find you need a thinner oil to alleviate vanos rattle or thicker oil if your seals are prone to weeping.

Don't forget your gearbox oil change too!
