Fair play!

I just wouldn't have expected them to cover it! Did they give you a reason that they wouldn't recover you?

A1GSS, The FCA reckon that they don't investigate companies individually though? 2002 4.6 Vogue SE - Alveston Red with Lightstone Leather

I have been with the AA since 1996 and every year when the renewal comes through I ring them up and question there price, with the threat of leaving! This year saved £70, not as much as last year though but its a saving all the same. If it dont work.......burn it!

If the IId tool cant fix it.......burn the FF.

If the FF cant be fixed......buy a Land Cruiser!

If the LC cant be fixed..............................................BUY a horse !!

I have signed up with the RAC for this year. I'll probably go back as a new customer to the AA next year.. Previously..

They are all the same once they get you to sign on the dotted line for the first year they start to rub their hands. They think that people don't even look at the second and third year costs and just agree to the cost, to be honest the majority of people just do.

I have a bank account that supplies breakdown cover and it never goes up. Its a really good option and i would recommend it. 2020 Porsche Panamera Turbo Hybrid (V FAST)

Hmm the Bank I'm with does the same, but at £15 a month, it's cheaper to go direct to company ( AA, RAC, etc) and haggle every year Laughing If it dont work.......burn it!

If the IId tool cant fix it.......burn the FF.

If the FF cant be fixed......buy a Land Cruiser!

Agreed. Thumbs Up

I needed to pay for my motorhome in cash Euros and got a FAR better deal as a premium account holder. The saving in exchange rate on that one transaction more than paid for the yearly charge. Si. <This is my name.

I think any company that uses large numbers of technicians /mechanics will also inevitably have a large variance in quality. I have had all good experiences with the AA over the past 10 years, including 5 call outs to the fullfat (flat battery, blowout resulting in wheel damage, fuel pump, electrical short, and another flat battery. It has been relayed on the back of a lorry twice with no problem. My only gripe was when I had a blowout on my Beemer in Oxford (I live in Sussex) and all they would do was arrange a tyre fitter to come and fit a new tyre at a huuuuge cost, compared to what I could get online. Relay was not permitted because their policy was to arrange local fitting for tyres.... Moral: carry a spare!!

I'd never go with the AA personally - I've spent too much time with other people waiting for them Rolling Eyes
People have a whimsical notion about the "Automobile Association" formed a hundred years ago etc etc not realising they are now owned by an insurance company and as such have only one person to satisfy - the share holder . . . . .
Personally, I use a non - descript reasonably priced set up who use local garages and I've always been happy with them. The last two call outs - one for the current FF and one for the previous FF - were both resolved by a great independent local garage who were very knowledgeable of the FF.

Don't believe the hype !

Thumbs Up Where do you go after one of these . . . ?
