So what does happen to these plates? Is it only the ones they think are significant enough to sell that are kept?

I'll double check but as far as I know, you can't change a plate from anything other than another motor vehicle. I thin that also includes moving a plate from a motorcycle to a car too. |

I checked the insurance details and said not insured but doesn't say for how long, tax check is better. Anyone have link for checking tax history?

If it was registered before 1960 it needs an MOT

All gets a bit confusing. I thought cars pre 1960 were MOT exempt? |

Pre 60 is now mot exempt

You will not be able to transfer a VRM off an old agricultural vehicle onto a current road going vehicle.
