wing mirrors gone mad

i had my wing mirrors tucked in last night and this morning one was stuck out..... now when i press the button when one goes out, the other comes in so they are out of sync.... any ideas of how to correct this? i have tried moving one of them manually so they are both starting from the same position but this doesnt work and they revert to what was happening before....

a quick double press of the door mirror fold button normally works [might need to be done a few times ] or a battery disconnection..

As Stan says, might need to do the button press a few times. More here:

This happened to my ff once. Only solution was a battery disconnect for 10 mins. Went back to normal and never happened since!

Andy, I had this a couple of months ago and the double press of the mirror button did the trick... Although I must say don't give up... I recall I had to do this at least a dozen times back to back after which the system reset itself again and all has been fine ever since. Mike.
