i went from a D4 (and previously D3) to our L405 RR 4.4 - it's certainly a much more luxurious drive and the extra power is nice to have, but i do miss the practicality of the Disco and the fact it's much more 'fit for purpose' in hauling three small children and a dog. |

I was on d3 for 6 years and tbh I share your view on the initial WELCOME to the forum...I felt a bit out in the cold - BUT that was the same on d3 in the early days so give it some time... Oh, most of the chaps on here have an L322 so your royalty with a brand new L405 If your feeling a little bit like the old d3 forum is a comfort zone....these lads can take the just as well as the mob back there in peasant land Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........ |

We have had reservations to be frank, but having had 2 disco 3's and 2 disco 4's, we just fancied a change! I agree that the Disco is a great family car, but sometimes that worked against us! My wife was constantly being asked to ferry other peoples kids around on the school run etc, because everybody knew she had 7 seats! We've got 3 young daughters and they will fit OK on the back seat! With regards to the dogs (we have 2 st Bernards!) they never went in the disco anyway! I have a V6 Navara which we use when the dogs travel anywhere with us, because I just couldn't stand the smell if they were in the Disco! As a family, the new Rangie will be used mostly by my wife, so there will only be 4 of them in the car. If we go to Europe on holidays, for example, the dogs will not be travelling with us. If we go to Wales at the weekends, we take the Navara, because we always seem to come home with half the Pembrokeshire beach in the back of the car, and I wouldn't want that in the new Rangie! 2017 Range Rover SDV8 Vogue SE 2018 Audi RS6 2018 VW Amarok V6 255 |

yeah, thats also one of the reasons we went away from the D4. it was always the car of choice for the pub run with pals or to ferry others children - sometimes i did damn those extra 2 seats...
