Plenty of V8 petrols out there with LPG. THis gives me 28-30 MPG equivalent or 22-25p per mile, depending on how I drive. A TD6 will average 25 MPG over long term.

Having had both, my V8 is a far better drive (and I really loved my TD6!!) Also a V8 petrol possibly will cost a coupla thou less than an equivalent year TD6, so that's a lot of petrol. And the gearbox is better in the V8.

Do a search on here as there has been a lot of discussion about the cost of petrol vs diesel. If you only do less than 10,000 miles a year, there's not much in it. I think Gaz Elliott or someone did a cost breakdown?
