to be honest its just a cost cutting exercise for them. Think how much they will save in printing off the discs and sending them out!

There will be a few small companies going bust over this. The amount of tax disc holders for sale on the bay is staggering.

Heading towards paying for when you use your car imho... Seams like it will be a load more work for plod in the interim though... |

Once they brought in ANPR it was only a matter of time, hopefully (say the man who now does 3k miles per year rather than 60k) they'll put it on fuel in a sort of PAYG way. Geoff |

So they are going to charge you 5% extra for paying by Direct Debit? I always thought DD was supposed to be cheaper! And how do you KNOW that once you have paid for your electronic tax disc, that it has actually been updated on the system? I suppose when you get pulled by plod! |
