rear wheel alignment ??? really .!!!

quick question for someone in the know how,im having my rear bushes done on my 2005 vogue as they are worn and creaking and moaning when i drive and the situation is 10 folds more when i go over a pot hole or a bump, very embarrassing specially when you go past a crowd of people say at the bus stop or so,any way my question to you is this..

ive been told that after i get the bushes done i will need my rear wheel alignment done, how true is that and has anyone who has suffered the from rear bush syndrome had theirs done after having the bushes replaced,am i being lead up to the cash point here or is this genuine talk ??? appreciate all your replies folks.. Yes, four wheel alignment is a must. Your rear wheels have adjustable camber/(caster) and toe in/out and these need to be set after replacement bushes at the rear, otherwise steering and tyre wear will be affected.

Kwik Fit apparently have "bees knees" kit for this now, but most reputable tyre places will also do it. Prices will be @ £60 upwards. Make sure you get a full detailed printout at the end. .
Experience is the only genuine knowledge, but as time passes, I have forgotten more than I can remember Wink

Yep quick fit do have very good hawkeye setup at selected centres! They will normally do a free check, then charge to adjust the amount seems to Based on the amount of work required, as the camber/toe will be affected by the replacement of the rear bushes then it is a must, however shold be easy to set as the bolts will have recently been freed off Thumbs Up There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

PROTYRE did mine for £50. I believe there is a specific 4 wheel drive piece of testing kit required?

Hawkeye has the settings for all cars including ffrr, wheels have sensors fitted and a a laser on the base unit scans the wheels to guage the camber castor and toe of all 4 wheels.

It is preferable to have the car in tight tolerance mode when the alignmnent is done as variations in the suspension height can affect the reading however many plances which offer alignment dont have the kit to place the car in ttm. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Another heads up for KwikFit. Mine drove like a different car once I had it done at KF with the car feeling like it had just rolled out of the factory.
