Hi all, I wonder if anyone can cast some light on yet another problem with my 2003 TD6.


Although there are no warning lights or messages appearing on the dashboard, the suspension on the drivers side front keeps dropping for no apparent reason. I have left the vehicle in 'off road' height overnight and the suspension will stay level and inflated, so I dont think its the actual airbag itself. however, on occasion when i stop, the corner will deflate to the bump stop, and even sometimes while driving you can see that the corner is down. It seems though that the ECU cant detect and correct. Using the manual height adjustment will bring things right again, but only temporarily.

Coupled with all this, I have (i am sure) a related problem in that unless i brake gently, the ABS kicks in on the front drivers side wheel.

I havent put the car on autologic yet, and I guess this may provide some answers, but in the meantime, i'd be interested if anyone had ant thoughts on what the issue(s) might be?

Could it possibly be a wheel speed sensor?
You'll get a far clearer picture once it's been on some sort of diagnostic.

Most likely the ride height sensor in the front corner reading incorrectly and causing the suspension to think its high in that corner and drop the suspension accordingly.

It may or may not throw an error code as it may he getting some reading from the sensor.

Dont know how that would be related to the wheel speed/abs sensor though sounds like that may be scoobied too. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

I think the bags leaking...it's exactly what mine was doing before the bag popped off, followed closely by the opposite side bag.

Sounds like a pretty big leak - which should be audible or at least very visible with a spray bottle and some water+detergent. That will be the cause of the ABS kicking in as well.

Once you've located the leak, look for these in RSA and replace both fronts:

But please be so kind, and order the DELPHIS, because with the cheap DUNLOPS other problems come back after one year, you will remember my words..., and clean your sensors in front.
