Ventilation Controls

Okay, maybe a dumb question. I checked the owners manual, but I didn't find it clear.

I've got a MY2008 petrol FFRR.

I can dial the temperature and fan speed I want, either manually, or in 'auto' mode.

What then, is the blue/red temperature wheel just below the hazard flashers and centre lock button needed for?

It seems like two sets of controls for the same thing. Confused

That allows you independently control the temp coming out of the facia vents. A sort of fine tune if you like Thumbs Up Should've been old enough to know better...doh!

I always wondered about that - but it makes perfect sense and I use it a lot.

for instance you can have warm air around the cabin with cool fresh air coming from that centre vent or the opposite config.. ... - .- -.

Got it! Thanks for the replies. Thumbs Up

I'm just not used to this level of luxury and control. Very Happy

I understood it to be relative to the footwell temp, as oppose to independent. Ie warmer than or colder than, but still changing automatically.
