That allows you independently control the temp coming out of the facia vents. A sort of fine tune if you like |

for instance you can have warm air around the cabin with cool fresh air coming from that centre vent or the opposite config.. ... - .- -.

I understood it to be relative to the footwell temp, as oppose to independent. Ie warmer than or colder than, but still changing automatically.
