The next service of my '08 3.6 TDV8 is due soon and my dealer here in Germany says that the chain is due for replacement because I've reached 180k km (114k miles). I'm waiting for a price quote. Because I'd read elsewhere that it's only replaced if you have issues with it, I decided to ring my local UK dealer for a second opinion and they said it is scheduled for replacement at 105k miles or after 10 years, so it does seem to be a scheduled job.

The TDV8 Timing Chain is not scheduled at 105k that just the belts on TDV6. TDV8 Timing chains are "life of the engine" so until it snaps then... |
