Ive bought one but it doesnt seem to work. Should I have power from pins 3 & 4 on the 12S socket?

12 S socket, the white one.
Pin 4 +ve
Pin 3 -ve

Should 4 be permanent live - even with ignition off? Mine isn't?

Yes, although there is a fuse in the supply. Fuse blown or not in place?

Rear fuse box there are 3 maybe 4 for the trailer sockets.

1 50amp fuse thats the forward most one of the 3 big fuses at the rear of the fuse box.

Then in the first highest row of 4 fuses the rear most one is for the trailer electrics and then there is one or two i think in the lower row of fuses

20amp rating for the upper most one and then 5 or 10 amp for the other lower row ones IIRC

Where is the fuse box?

Open the upper and lower tailgate and it's under the access panel on the right hand side. Lift the plastic handle up and gently leaver away the top and then lift it out. FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Just had a quick look - wow it's cold out there! All fuses are ok?

If they are all ok there and you've taken them out and checked them as sometimes they can look fine from the top but still have blown, then it's worth looking at the front fuse box in the glovebox in case one there has blown. FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
