Like all aftermarket suppliers, some parts will be up to scratch and some not (I've read on here before though that people were unimpressed with aftermarket side vents). People seem happy for example with the quality of the lower sill tread plates that Powerful UK sell.

Had you dismantled the original existing vents and got a good (perhaps even non main dealer) bodyshop to paint the relevant parts, would you not have been able to get the job done A1 and jig time, for a price comfortably in the region of the £119 you paid Powerful?

I've had a new front grill and side vents from Powerful. They were of very good quality, not flimsy at all. They appeared to be of the same quality as the Landrover ones but only time will tell.
However if on opening the boxes they were as rubbish as the ones received by RRUK I would have sent them straight back as well.

It's a pity no one from Powerful is a member of this forum. They would benefit from the constructive criticism of their products and the varying quality control we as their customers experience.

Mind you Landrover don't bother so why should powerful

I posted this pic in the thread about dismantling the side vents, taken on the iPhone4 so not the best but I parked it up the other day and turned to look back, and I'm really pleased with the colour coded look. (Never needed it with Stornoway as Brunel was so close)

The other bonus over the Powerful ones is that these are actually in body colour, whereas theirs are just gloss black.

Got to disagree with the comments about Powerful being sh*t I sent something back (because of quality) they gave me a refund straight away, very apologetic and gave a discount of 10% on my next purchase.

I do agree the vents do look like poor quality (shame because they do look ok in photos) but having seen the solidity of the genuine articles they do seem flimsy. Now: BMW 640d M Sport, Alpine White
