South Africa 2016 Range Rover SVAutobiography 5.0 SC V8 Baltic Blue

Had similar issue last year. Indie, not one I normally use, and radiator specialist told me head gasket was blown. Took car to indie I normally use, nothing wrong with head gasket. I'm still driving the car 25000 kms later and no problems, except for misfire issue. However no water in oil and oil in water, also no sludge - so thinking more dud spark plug or blocked fuel filter

Many thanks to you all for your pointers.anyway.i had a test done from the radiator where the water turns blue if co2 is present.nothing changed.somthats good news.another pressure test.no problems there.ive just done a 500 ,yes 500 mile round trip to Wales and absolutely no problem at all.no water lost.im completely at a loss as to what it is.someone suggested a possible air lock?.ive still got to put it into the Indy coz the rocket cover gasket is leaking and i need new lambda sensors post exhaust but apart from that the car runs like a dream.ill have to check again in a few days.again many thanks for all the replies that you kindly sent.regards .Tony

Glad to hear that it is unlikely to be the head gasket !!! It could still be something simple as a crack in the coolant tank or a hose or some small opening that closes up when the engine gets hot. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

thats good news! makes things much simpler. 2 options: a) ignore untill leak source if obvious b) look harder. if you choose b try not to keep taking the lid off the tank to check the level. if its a small leak it will need the pressure in the system to force the coolant out. when you take the lid off that pressure is gone. good luck and keep us posted. [img]http://www.fuelly.com/driver/rob2529/range-rover[img/]
